The lawyer-linguistic professional figure was born, among the Eu Institutions, in order to guarantee the several legislative decrees adopted have the same meaning in all the Community Languages. The competences of this professional, are crucial, in the private sector, whenever the parties must stipulate agreements having different language pairs (in duplicate, each one having a different language), or deeds having the same value in two or more languages, or must agree to contracts/forms yet in foreign language.
So, we can affirm, the lawyer-linguistic is a lawyer having competences in more than one language and is able to offer, at the same time, both legal and linguistic consultancy in writing down, proofreading and interpreting contracts in the numerous language pairs, but also to negotiate for and on behalf of the customer.
